St. Matthews Episcopal Church is an active, loving and mission-oriented parish of the Episcopal Diocese of Nebraska. We have a long history in Alliance!
The ministries of St. Matthew's include an active liturgical life where Holy Eucharist is celebrated on Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m., followed by our coffee fellowship.
The Parish, led by The Rev. Kim Culp and a very dedicated Vestry, seeks to build upon the church's strong core values of mission and outreach to the needy (the Mission Store, Backpack Program, Community Table, and Making a Difference Ministry, Alliance Community Essentials Pantry). Many other groups, activities and care supports meet on a regular basis.
Our congregation includes cradle Episcopalians, those from other denominations and those without ties to a religious tradition. We believe we are all God’s children. We have attendees that cross all ages and ethnicity to meld into an inclusive and faithful parish. Our doors are open to all that seek to follow the love and teachings of Jesus.
